The woman working there was not friendly at all. I asked what's in a quesadilla. She told me anything I want. Not really the kind of answer I was looking for. I not very familiar with Mexican food and I'm a picky eater, so I was looking for details.
We ordered and got our food quick enough. When it was time to pay, I said I had a coupon and held out a page I printed from their website. She looked at it like it was radioactive and said, "which one?" Well, there were only three coupons on the page and one was for the lunch specials we ordered, so...duh.
Food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The waiting time for the food may take some time, but definitely worth the few extra minutes. Everything is cooked to order and very fresh. The chips and salsa are home made and a nice touch. There are only about 12 tables, but whether you wait for a table or the food, it is well with it. BYO for wine or beer.
I am not an expert on Mexican food, though I have always enjoyed the flavor of Mexican cuisine. Some of the best dishes I've eaten were at New York City based Mexican restaurants.
We went there at about 11:30 to place a takeout order. There was nobody else eating there (seats about 50) and only one other person came by to pickup while we were waiting.
Juanitos in Washington, NJ is quite close to that experience. Friendly waitresses and food was excellent. I would visit again.
It's the only Mexican place in town and to be honest if you want Mexican food I suggest going to and taco Bell in hackettstown.
Love this place! Everything is fresh and flavorful....And large portions. Very reasonable priced for what you get. It's BYOB, so plan ahead.... But that keeps the price down. I've always been greeted with a smile here....Very friendly staff.
We got the food home. It was packed nicely and looked good. It was tasty and the free nachos and salsa was a nice touch. I think the portions were a little small compared to other places, like the Mexican place in Alpha.
Overall, not bad, but it would have been a lot better of the lady were more friendly to her first time customers.
